Insoles & Orthotics Reviews For Seriously Sporty Feet

When shopping for Insoles for high impact activities like running or tennis its a good idea to have a list in your mind in which parts of the foot you need support and correction thats specifically for that sport.

For example if you are working out at the gym your heels and forefoot take a pounding whilst you plunge and run or if you play football your bunion joint and ball of foot area takes the most impact.

The main difference between regular and work orthotics are that sports insoles & orthotics are made of a higher density material that allows aggressive and hard wear to the inserts.
They usually are full length insoles to protect the whole foot but 3/4 insoles are fine if you do not need toe and bunion joint protection.

They are biomechanically designed to correct and allign your bodies posture while you run around or work out like a crazy person whilst supports and cushioning the foot in it weak areas or injured sites.

The most common injuries whilst playing sports is heel pain, heel spurs and Achilles tendon and  ball of foot burning and pain.

Here at mankyfeet we like to encourage our customers to  keep good foot hygiene when playing sports as this puts more pressure and can create additional foot conditions like fungus in toenails, athletes foot and hard skin on heels.

A simple way to keep your feet healthy after working out is to wash or soak your feet in a tepid water for 10 mins , add table salt or a foot soak.

Dry your feet well, especially between the toes.

If fungus in the toe nails is present apply a oil or cream for toe fungus (see in store)

If you suffer from hot sweaty feet apply a deodorising cream,  athletes foot cream or powder
to prevent / treat the condition.

Always wear fresh socks.

Simple but effective tips for super sporty healthy feet.
